Baking Banana Bread
烤香蕉面包
It was center time, and Tex and Indi's group was making banana bread.
在活动时间，特克斯和英蒂的小组正在做香蕉面包。
“May I crack the eggs?” asked Tex.
“我可以打鸡蛋吗？”特克斯问。
“We have four eggs and four bakers, so everyone can crack an egg,” said Ms. French.
“But first, we need to measure the ingredients.”
“我们有四个鸡蛋，四个面包师，”弗伦奇小姐说道。“但是首先，我们要分配一下材料。”
Tito measured the flour and salt.
Tex measured the baking soda and baking powder.
Hannah measured the sugar and cinnamon.
Indi measured the vanilla and oil.
蒂朵负责了面粉和盐，特克斯负责了苏打粉和泡打粉，汉娜负责了糖和肉桂，英蒂负责了香草和油。
And they all helped mash the bananas.

But when Tex cracked one of the eggs, it fell on his shoe.

“Oh no!” he cried. “Now the bread’s ruined !”

“Don’t worry,” said Ms. French. “I change recipes all the time. It might even taste better withthree eggs.”

Once everything got mixed up, the batter went into the pan, the pan went into the oven, and the treat was ready by snack time.
一旦所有的东西都混合好了，面糊倒入锅中，锅放进烤箱中，点心时间就到了。
“Yum! This is the best banana bread ever!” said D.J.
“How did you guys make this taste so good?”
“好吃！这是最好吃的香蕉面包了！” D.J.说。

“Well,” said Tex, “we decided to try a new recipe.”
“好吧，”特克斯说，“我们当时决定换一个新的食谱。”
