The elephant stopped at our house, waving its big gray nose.
一只大象在我家门口停下了，挥舞着他那灰色的大鼻子。
"Do you have work for an animal with a very useful hose?"
“你这里有工作适合有软管的动物吗？”
"Come in! Come in!” my father cried. “You answer all my wishes. You can do the laundry and a heap of dirty dishes."
“快进来，快进来”我爸爸大喊着，“你满足了我所有愿望。你可以洗衣服和一堆脏盘子。”
"Wash the upstairs windows. Sweep and mop the floors. Clean the car and the garage, and don t forget the doors."
“清洗楼上的玻璃。打扫地板和拖地。清洗车和车库，不要忘了还有那些门。”
"Stop!" bellowed the elephant. “That’s too much work to do!” Then with a snort, it turned away and ran back to the zoo.
“停下”大象吼道。“有太多的工作要做了！”随着一声喷鼻声，它转身跑回来动物园。
